America Revealed, a series playing on PBS has an episode "Made in America" that I found very encouraging for manufacturing and hit home on the importance of innovation to the US economy. American manufacturing is still #1. It accounts for 12% of the US economy, employs about 11 million people and spurs a lot of spin off jobs that are important to the economy. Some of our most traditional industries are riding a remarkable wave of innovation and new ones are spring up all the time. WATCH
