TechniSoil®

TechniSoil® CEO Sean Weaver Loves Redding, CA
16-Jul-2012

Sean Weaver’s path since graduating from Shasta High School in Redding 21 years ago has been most unusual. One might wonder how a graduate from Brigham Young University, with a degree in textiles, arrived at making evolutionary natural surfaces today. His business, known as TechniSoil®, is based in Redding, California and is taking off globally. They have just secured their first billion dollar contract.

Setting off with a college degree in textiles, Sean worked for five years in the textile industry. He got interested in stone quarries. Letting no moss grow under his feet, he leased a number of quarries in California with the idea of processing stone.

Roll it forward to 2012. Under the umbrella of Eko Research, Sean, at 39 years old, is the CEO and co-owner of two companies centering around the family of products under the TechniSoil® brand. These are products, developed by Sean and his team, well on their way to revolutionizing road building globally. Green Mile Construction’s job, the other company Sean co-owns, will build off-highway roads for the US military, energy, and mining sectors worldwide.

What is TechniSoil® and why is it so revolutionary? As Sean explained, “It’s a binder that will stabilize in-situ (undisplaced) soil (in the ground) and used to create roadways that will last 20 years without maintenance.” Energy and mining companies globally will be using this product on a large scale. Not only are these roads as durable as asphalt, they take 95% less energy and 20% of the time to build than traditional roads. The contract negotiations with countries around the world have begun.

TechniSoil® also has many applications for homeowners from driveways to pathways and borders.

TechniSoil saves on construction costs, cuts maintenance costs, and creates carbon credits. A durable product, it will save on construction costs due to a 95% savings in CO2 emissions creating substantial carbon credits which will benefit everyone concerned.
