REDDING, CA July 20, 2016 – Shasta EDC (Economic Development Corporation) received a contribution from AT&T to assist the organization in growing the economic base of Shasta County.
Preston Dickinson, representative for AT&T presented the $3,000 donation to Tony Giovaniello, Shasta EDC, President. Pam Giacomini, Chairman, Shasta County Board of Supervisors, was present to acknowledge the generosity of AT&T, and their desire to helping Shasta County on the path of building the “economy of the future.” The presentation was held at the Shasta Venture Hub, a startup accelerator, and part of the Shasta EDC.
“We are very appreciative of the ongoing commitment AT&T has made to our community, and welcome the opportunity for Shasta EDC to use these funds in pursuit of their goals and objectives,” commented Shasta County Supervisor and Chairman, Pam Giacomini.
“AT&T enjoys working with the communities we serve and we are proud to support economic development in rural communities like Shasta County,” said Preston Dickinson with AT&T.
“We have a number of new initiatives about to kick-off such as our “Center of Excellence – Inside Sales,” said Tony Giovaniello with Shasta EDC. “These funds will help us to accelerate this new exciting initiative. We are ready to embark on the next new activity to move us into the future.”
The Cloud Wise Academy had its first class last evening, and the class was full. More new classes will be added. Now that the coding school is moving forward, Inside Sales is a core competency of the area and the Shasta EDC, along with the experts already serving this market in our community, will work together to brand this capability and expand it.
