Redding, CA: Today, the Shasta EDC is pleased to announce that Todd Jones, former Director, Entrepreneurial Development has been promoted to Vice President.

Tony Giovaniello, Shasta EDC President commented, “Todd has done a great job continuing our efforts in entrepreneurial development. There are many new services, resources and venues available for a startup to be nurtured and grow. Todd has been instrumental in helping formalize “Startup Redding,” a growing group of people also committed to this growth, many who have been key contributors over the last 5-7 years. The Shasta EDC, working in collaboration with Startup Redding, can further accelerate this already rapidly growing part of our economy.”

In his new position, Todd will continue to work in developing our Startup Community, both at the EDC and in coordination with Startup Redding. Todd was a founding member of Startup Redding, so that has served to connect the two organizations in our shared mission.

With the economy growing in virtually all sectors, Todd has been more involved in many other aspects of the EDC activities and operations. Steve Williams, EDC Board Chairman said, “This promotion is in recognition of the fine work Todd has done with startup development and is also an acknowledgement of the broader role Todd is playing along side Tony as the EDC’s activities and initiatives expand.”
