Shasta EDC announced that it was one of a small number of communities that had the very special opportunity to represent the state and our community in the Select CA Investment Summit. The event took place, June 13, 2017, at the Leland Stanford Mansion, in Sacramento.

Tony Giovaniello, President of the Shasta County Economic Development Corporation (Shasta EDC) said, “It was a great opportunity to meet with business people from China, and to see their interest in invested in the United States, and especially California. To many, Northern California is known through visits San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose or Sacramento. Having the opportunity to share attributes of our “Upstate California” business climate, the economic opportunities, and the beauty and quality of life available in this area provides the kind of exposure needed to build our economic base.” He further commented, “it was an honor to be asked to present, as only a few counties were offered the opportunity.”
