Redding, CA, 5:00pm August 30, 2016: Tomorrow evening, Wednesday, August 31, 2016, Shasta EDC (Economic Development Corporation) will celebrate the first anniversary of the Shasta Venture Hub, an accelerator for emerging companies created by the EDC, and host its next Beer & Bytes gathering at the Shasta Venture Hub (SVH). There are over seventy (70) people expected to attend. Typical attendees include elected officials, investors, startups, fans of innovation, entrepreneurs, financial advisors, technologists, and curious community minded citizens.
In addition to providing a venue for connections and collaboration, the Shasta EDC and the SVH want to provide opportunities for learning. Tomorrow’s event will showcase a panel of experts supporting the startup community as mentors and resources, to assist in their accelerated growth. The topic of discussion for the panel will revolve around selecting your startup team, and then working together on key business initiatives by using a high performance team approach to success.
Hope Seth, Director, Entrepreneurial Development, at the Shasta Venture will moderate the panel. Speakers will include Joshua Johnson, CEO and Founder of Mindbox Studios, and other companies supporting the startup community, Matthew Wilson, Intellectual Property Attorney, who regularly works with startups helping them to protect the intellectual property assets they develop, and Tony Giovaniello, President of the Shasta EDC.
Hope Seth commented, “We have a talented panel with diverse experience all focused on helping to provide insight and a success-oriented perspective in an effort to help startups make good choices and decisions as they move through their emerging stage.”
