The Shasta Economic Development Corporation is thrilled to announce our first of its kind event, the “Export Expo”. This workshop-style event is designed to help Shasta County businesses explore growth opportunities in national and global markets.
The Export Expo will feature presentations from the World Trade Center Northern California, U.S. Commercial Service, and Go-Biz International Affairs and Trade. The Export Expo will offer the “export-curious”, an engaging program to learn the step-by-step process of exporting, plus offer an opportunity to build valuable relationships with other local businesses and state and national exporting experts.
“Exporting helps businesses grow more quickly, be more profitable, and more easily weather business cycles. Many people think they are too small to export, or that exporting is too complicated. With the right partners and training, small and medium sized businesses can successfully export their products or services and profitably grow their business.”
— Kevin Mather, President & CEO of Northern California World Trade Center
It’s the perfect platform for local companies looking to expand their reach, sharpen their export strategies, and connect with industry experts.
“Providing resources to empower and encourage our local businesses to sell beyond Shasta County helps grow our local economy. We have a unique opportunity for local makers and producers to learn from experts at the Export Expo. Among other benefits, exporting is a great way to grow and diversify business income and we are excited to get our local businesses interested in what exporting can do for them.”
— Rebecca Baer, President and CEO of the Economic Development Corporation of Shasta County.
